Former self-harmer Laura Sutcliffe, 17, and a self-harming friend who does not want to be identified put together the pack with the help of youth workers from the council-run Dillon's Centre for Young People in Brackley.
The pack, entitled Spectrum, is part of what the girls call the Opal Project. It takes the form of a journal designed to help teenagers record how they feel, so that they can explore the reasons behind their self-harming. It also provides contact details for organisations that might be able to help young people.
The Northamptonshire Community Foundation provided the 6,000 to print the journal, which is available for free to young people and youth workers.
