The majority of managers felt that boosting the public image of social work would be the best way to help them fill vacancies, followed by a reduction in paperwork, better supervision and smaller caseloads.
A spokesman for Liquid Personnel said: "The calls to boost the public image of social work show that despite being a vital public service, it does not have the profile and respect it deserves."
