Looked-after children gain confidence and self-esteem

Face to Face helps looked-after children deal with issues affecting their emotional wellbeing.

Project
Face to Face

Purpose
To help looked-after children deal with issues affecting their emotional wellbeing or safety

Funding
The scheme is funded by the NSPCC and the cost of eight sessions is £679 per young person

"They wanted support that was accessible and not too heavy handed, and to feel in control," explains NSPCC team manager Maria Emilsson. The model that seemed to fit the bill was a solution-focused approach and the Face to Face service, as it was named by young people, was born.
