The camps have been a great success as was shown by independent research last year. Young people, including looked-after children, are participating in activities they enjoy and are benefiting from time at camp.
The diversity of those accessing the programme, in terms of economic, social and cultural background, means that young people from different communities have been brought together, in the process learning about each other and themselves.
The price mentioned was a very last-minute price aiming to fill remaining places. In future we will certainly consider making that kind of special price available to looked-after children.
