As a registered manager I currently feel that the care system isresources led and the idea of a child's needs being paramount couldn'tbe further from the truth. Over the years I have worked with youngpeople who have been placed in local authority homes where their needswere not met so they came to us. Their behaviour improved, they foundstability, and then social services decided the money would be bestplaced elsewhere and the children were moved. Why? I have askedrepeatedly and I have never received a credible answer. How can a pricebe put on the head of a child and it then be said every childmatters?
