At BIBIC we work with many children who have behavioural problems due to communication and learning difficulties arising from conditions such as autism, Asperger syndrome and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
With early intervention these children's lives can be turned around. Naming and shaming will only alienate young people from society further. With this guidance it is only a matter of time before a child with a condition such as Asperger syndrome is affected.
We are working with a number of other charities under the campaign banner of Ain't Misbehavin' to try and differentiate in the public's eye the difference between children who need help because of learning difficulties, and those that genuinely need reining in. Sadly many are not diagnosed before they reach their teens and even with diagnosis children's names are appearing in the papers.
