Legal Update: Court Report - Dublin decision on asylum claim

Case name: The Queen on the application of ZAT, IAJ, KAM, AAM, MAT, MAJ and LAM -v- Secretary of State for the Home Department UT IJR 6

This recent case involved three children (aged 16) and one young person (aged 26) living in "the jungle" migrant camp in Calais, France. They had family members in the UK who had been recognised as refugees. They raised court proceedings against the decision of the UK government not to allow them swift entry in the UK so that they could have their asylum claims considered there and enjoy their right to family life (under Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights).
