Police are currently investigating the theft, which happened after an intruder gained access to the organisation's headquarters in Carteret Street, London. The two laptops were stolen after the electronic lock on the front door was deactivated.
A spokesman for the Youth Justice Board told CYP Now the laptops did not hold any sensitive data and were security coded. He said the matter was now in the hands of the Metropolitan Police who were investigating the incident.
The board has since tightened security at its offices, which are just around the corner from Met headquarters New Scotland Yard.
