Proposals in the Ministry of Justice document, Improving the Criminal Trial Process for Young Witnesses, include measures to broaden the use of pre-recorded statements, and to protect the identity of young witnesses. Gerry Sutcliffe, the criminal justice minister, said: "We need to listen to young people to improve the criminal justice process for them."
