No Wrong Door (£2m)
A two-pronged approach of boosting efforts to prevent young people entering the care system and transforming residential care provision for those already in care, forms the basis of North Yorkshire County Council's No Wrong Door initiative.
With backing of £2m, it will see young people on the edge of care and their families given access to round-the-clock support to try to resolve issues that can lead to adolescents going into care, such as being arrested by police.
For adolescents already in the care system, steps will be taken to increase support so placements do not break down, in a bid to avoid them ending up in residential care.
