No, this isn't a tour of Jordan's palatial residence in OK! magazine but the Daily Mail's description of the new-look Westminster offices of the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF).
The paper says a refit for the department ordered by Children's Secretary Ed Balls has cost a cool £3m. Teachers are furious, the Mail says, that the DCSF can afford such luxuries while Balls has pledged to slash £2bn from the schools budget to claw back some education costs. One department insider said the refurbished building looked more like a cruise liner than an office. Given the government's election prospects, the vessel he probably had in mind was the Titanic.
