1. Schools may already be covered for extended services if their localauthority has a central insurance policy for all of its schools. Thistype of policy should cover liability arising from extended services,meaning that schools should not have to pay a premium. However, not alllocal authorities will have this arrangement so schools should alwayscontact their local authority to seek clarification.
2. Those schools that have bought back in to their local authority'spolicy should also be covered. This situation may arise at localauthorities that have delegated the money for insurance and thenpersuaded some or all of those schools to buy back in to the corporateinsurance. Schools in this situation should not expect to pay apremium.
