Health News: Sudden infant death - Sticker developed to informparents

A colourful comic-style sticker has been created by the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths and baby sleeping bag manufacturer Grobag, in order to improve parents' understanding about how to reduce the possibility of cot death.

According to an opinion poll carried out by the foundation this summer, nearly a third of parents said they had no recollection of a discussionabout cot death, which is the leading cause of death in babies more thanone month old.

"We've been getting a lot of confused calls. According to the lateststudy, 78 per cent of cot deaths could be prevented if parents followedour advice," said a foundation spokeswoman.
