The move follows concern that work by the Department of Health onimplementing the framework has reached a hiatus, following its launch inSeptember 2004. But the group, which recently met for the first time,hopes to maintain the momentum of the 10-year programme.
The group includes people from the health and education departments andthe voluntary sector, including chair Dr Sheila Shribman, the nationalclinical director for children, and Ian Kennedy, chair of the HealthcareCommission.
Members will discuss challenges affecting the implementation process andthe effect of cross-government initiatives.
