Health advice to cope with crunch

Health
Children's services support agency Together for Children has increased its health support services for local authorities in order to handle health issues arising from the credit crunch and address child poverty.

Originally produced last year, the product, Improving Health and Local Authority Joint Working, was designed for use by colleagues in both local authorities and local health organisations. It has now been refreshed with further information on mental health and the relationship between health and poverty.

Amanda Best, director for knowledge management said: "It is clear that strong joint working can have a massive impact on a whole range of outcomes, not least child poverty."
