Gun crime: Teenager murders driven by change in gang culture

They are worried gangs are becoming more territorial, rather than based on making money.

One youth worker from the area, who asked not to be named, said: "There have been rumours of people taking out rival crews - people getting people before they get them. There is a real culture of fear."

Three young people have been killed in south London since the start of February. James Andre Smartt-Ford, 16, was shot in Streatham on 3 February. Fifteen-year-old Michael Dosunmu was killed at his Peckham home three days later, and last week Billy Cox, 15, was shot at his home in Clapham North.
