Schools in Warwickshire will encourage pupils to walk, cycle or use public transport after gaining grants from the Department for Education and Skills. The cash will go towards putting new school travel plans in place with 46 schools working with advisers at Warwickshire County Council. Primary schools will get 5,000 each and secondary schools 10,000.
