A scheme that gives inner city children the chance to have a go at gardening has been awarded funding from Capital Radio's Help a London Child. The 1,300 grant will provide transport to the Hammersmith Community Garden Association's summer play scheme and a monthly environment club. The play scheme will keep 120 children and aged five to 16 busy during the holiday.
