A family sign language curriculum will be developed by the National Deaf Children's Society using money from the Department for Work and Pensions. It aims to help children and their families communicate. The Society is one of ten organisations that will share 1.5m for projects supporting the recognition of British Sign Language. www.ndcs.org.uk.
