Charities have expressed concern over plans to give the public more say in how lottery money is spent, fearing this could divert cash away from worthy but less high-profile causes. Culture secretary Tessa Jowell is expected to unveil a new Bill this week with plans to allow people to vote for causes through game shows and "tick boxes" on lottery tickets.
