Funding Brief: Childcare projects receive grants

Childcare projects across Scotland received Big Lottery Fund grants totalling 231,000 last week. The Galloway Childcare Company can now provide the first full-time childcare service in Stranraer. Renfrewshire Council received 50,000 for service improvements, and Lochinver Pre School in the Highlands received 8,000 for an outdoor play area. The grants came from the lottery's New Opportunities for Quality Childcare programme. www.nof.org.uk.
