Family courts: No further dispute resolution pilots

The Government has no plan to test other ways of helping separated parents sort out contact with their children outside of the courtroom after its controversial Family Resolution Pilot Project achieved "mixed results".

Trying different approaches to dispute resolution was one of the keyrecommendations in a government-commissioned evaluation of theproject.

The evaluation suggested a series of further pilots. However, theDepartment for Constitutional Affairs has said there are no plans to runfurther schemes.
