Professionals working with children will get new rights to discloseinformation about children involved in family court cases, theGovernment has said.

The Department for Constitutional Affairs launched a consultation lastDecember amid growing confusion on the issue and responded to it onWednesday.

Many professionals did not realise that they were not allowed toydisclose details of family court cases that could identify the childreninvolved.

Lawyer Sarah Harman was rebuked by a judge after she sent details of afamily court case to her sister, the solicitor general HarrietHarman.
