25.9% of primary pupils did not have English as their first language in January 2005 (11.7 per cent in England)

2.9% of pupils with special educational needs statements in January 2006(2.9 per cent in England)

13.3% of nursery and primary school pupils taking free school meals inJanuary 2005 (13.4 per cent in England)

0.14% of the school population excluded permanently in 2004/05 (0.12 percent in England)

Hillingdon's outcomes for most children are rated adequate byinspectors. Its work to improve schoolchildren's behaviour was praisedin its last annual performance assessment although this has not yetreduced exclusions.

However, inspectors criticised the London borough for failing to provideinformation for parents in languages other than English.
