Editorial: Youth Work Week can keep momentum up

1 min read

An all-party group of 68 elected representatives has signed up to Lancaster and Wyre MP Hilton Dawson's early day motion supporting the campaign (see p4), various Government ministers have given it their seal of approval, and youth groups and young people have enthusiastically taken up the challenge to promote the Positive Images media code and lobby their local councils and media outlets over the issue (see p7). I look forward to seeing these efforts represented in the Positive Images Awards in due course.

Next week's Youth Work Week is a great opportunity to keep up the momentum.

Set up by The National Youth Agency (NYA) in 1992, the week has gathered pace over the past 12 years and provides an excellent focal point for youth services and projects that want to raise their profiles and keep their offerings fresh and relevant to young people.
