Long before celebrity chefs hit upon the idea of using the kitchen as a way of helping those with problems find work, children's charity Barnardo's set up a restaurant in Knaresborough. Since the beginning, Dr B's has trained young people aged 16 to 24 with a wide range of needs.
The programme marks the centenary of Barnardo's and its changing focus over the years.
