Don't miss: Mean Creek

The issue of bullying is explored in Mean Creek, a US film about the loss of childhood innocence. George, an overweight boy, beats up Sam for stealing his video camera. Sam informs his older brother, Rocky, who tells his best friend, Clyde, who then bullies the members of his gang into taking revenge.

They invite George on a river trip to celebrate Sam's birthday. George, who is desperately eager to be accepted, brings an expensive birthday present. But the gang are plotting to force George to jump into the water and walk home naked. Sam warms to George and tries to stop the prank, but the gang will not back down and the joke turns deadly.
