The Gate House centre also contains space to run training programmes and family workshops, where families and young people can discuss and prepare for living alone.
Lyn Prodger, corporate and trust fundraising officer at the disability charity, said: "This initiative will support young disabled people at an important stage of their lives. It provides the perfect environment for young people to learn necessary practical living skills including making sensible food choices, cooking and independent travel."
