
The UK's four children's commissioners have joined forces to warn the government that young people's rights risk being watered down by Brexit. The Independent reports that the commissioners have said that Brexit must not undermine the safety of children in the UK, pointing out that the EU has led the way in clamping down on cross-border crimes such as child trafficking, child abduction and child sexual exploitation.
UK retailers have stopped selling baby sleep "positioners" after a US health regulator has raised concerns over their safety. The BBC reports that the Food and Drug Administration has released a statement explaining that the products have caused babies to suffocate after rolling over in the night.
A man has been convicted of disseminating "terrorist propaganda" in the form of a graphic Twitter video. The BBC reports that Zameer Ghumra denied the claims, but was found guilty after the court heard how he told one of the boys that "if you truly believe in Allah, you can do it" in reference to beheading people.
Parents in Coventry are set to stage a protest over "unfair" council cuts to disabled pupils' school transport. The Coventry Telegraph reports that parents have been speaking out about their own difficulties in getting transport assistance following the cuts. Some have had personal transport allowances reduced, or even taken away.
