An independent chair to lead a review into child protection in Scotland has been appointed, it has been announced. Speaking at a summit in Perth, Deputy First Minister John Swinney said Catherine Dyer, former procurator fiscal and chief executive of the Crown Office, will chair the independent child protection review.?
