
Teenagers who identify as goths are three times more likely to have depression than their peers, according to the findings of a year-long study. The Guardian reports that although researchers could not fully explain the link, they believe a tendency for goths to distance themselves from society could play a part.
Children in Wigan are having tattoos as young as 10, according to a survey. Wigan Today reports that 62.5 per cent of respondents with a tattoo had it done underage, and a third didn't know if was illegal to have a tattoo under the age of 18.
Government has published guidance for local authorities on changes to the way children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEN) are supported. The guidance explains how legislation relating to children and young people with SEN in England will operate from 1 September 2015 to 31 March 2018.

Young people are more likely to use their mobile phones while driving compared with older people, a survey by driving safety charity Brake has suggested. The BBC reports 49 per cent of 17- to 24-year-olds have taken work calls while driving compared with 17 per cent of all age groups.
More than 50 looked-after children have gone missing in Havering over the last five years, it has emerged. The Romford Recorder reports that last year a total of five boys and 12 girls went missing.
