The Mirror reports that Sir James Munby, the most senior family court judge in England and Wales, will re-examine the case this week in the High Court.
Victims of child sexual abuse are threatening to sue the inquiry into historic abuse due to it increasing their suffering. The Telegraph reports that one man who suffered abuse in the 1970s said he has been traumatised over several elements of the case, including recent accusations that former chair Dame Justice Lowell Goddard made inappropriate remarks when in the role.
Footballer Ched Evans has said he wants to talk to young people about consent. The 27-year-old was found not guilty of raping a 19-year-old woman following a retrial last week, five years after being convicted and jailed for rape. Wales Online reports that Evans said he could help educate young people around the issue of consenting for sex. ?
The first group of unaccompanied children from the Calais "jungle" camp have travelled to Britain for resettlement with relatives ahead of the camp's closure. The Telegraph reports that a total of 20 children are due to leave the camp today and tomorrow.
Opposition leaders at Wirral Council are set to call for strong action in the wake of a damning Ofsted report into children's services. The Liverpool Echo reports that the borough's children's services was rated "inadequate" by inspectors earlier this year, and Conservative leader Jeff Green will today demand that council bosses resign.
A youth zone that is expected to be built by the end of 2017 has got a new chief executive. Youth charity OnSide said Janine Blythe, who has helped to deliver the Connexions Service in Lancashire, will take on the role at Chorley Youth Zone. ?
