CYP Now Guide to Courses and Training

Children & Young People Now magazine is publishing its annual directory of training courses for children and youth professionals in June. The Guide to Courses and Training 2009/10 is intended to be used by students as well as by employers looking for courses for their staff. There is no charge for an entry. The deadline for entries is 8 April.

Academic courses leading to professional qualifications

We want to include any courses that lead to qualifications (NVQ Level 2 and above) in:

* Child and adolescent mental health

* Childcare and early years education

* Child law

* Children and families social work, including specialisms in areas such as child protection, adoption and fostering, residential care, court work, etc

* Children's specialisms in public health, including school nurses and health visitors

* Educational disciplines, including extended schools, special educational needs, educational psychology, education welfare, learning mentors (but not mainstream teaching)

* Play

* Therapeutic disciplines, including child psychotherapy, play therapy etc

* Youth justice

* Youth work
