Red-faced and determined, Chris James hammers home his point as he tries to get his party's message across to a sceptical audience. The media-savvy Tory candidate is in full flow at the hustings as he reels off a stream of policies and soundbites.
"Labour has not delivered," he thunders. "They said they had 24 hours to save the NHS but it hasn't happened. It's all lies. The Conservatives fixed these problems, but Labour came and ruined it all. Labour promises, but the Conservatives will deliver!"
It's local election time in Birmingham and James is berating the Labour council for ignoring the youth vote. "Labour has done absolutely nothing for young people in Bartley Green," he bellows. "The parks have been left to rot, and there's nothing for young people to do at night. What do they want us to do? Play on the edge of the M5 motorway?"
