Children in need: Boarding should play greater role

Boarding schools would like to do more for vulnerable children but are hindered by funding, a charity says.

The Royal Wanstead Children's Foundation, which supports in need children at boarding school, has carried out the first national boarding school survey.

Results will not be released until November, but chairman Colin Morrison said: "Many of the head teachers we have spoken to would be happy to do more, but feel discouraged by the funding issues around."
