Call for views on speech services

Education Health
A government-backed review has called on children's professionals to give their views on specialist provision for children with speech, language and communications needs.

The review, led by Conservative MP John Bercow, is looking for views from parents, health workers and education professionals. Bercow said: "The call for evidence will be a vital part to building a picture of the provision of services around the UK."

As revealed last week, the review, commissioned by Children's Secretary Ed Balls and Health Secretary Alan Johnson, will make recommendations on best practice to enable all young people with speech and language difficulties to get early support.
