A lobby group for children's play is calling for a 50p returnable deposit on all alcoholic beverage containers as a way of reducing teenage drinking.
Fair Play for Children said a deposit scheme would provide a strong disincentive to underage drinkers at the point of sale and would have the added benefit of cleaning up playgrounds.
Chair Rob Wheway said: "It is hard to find a playground that has not got broken booze bottles or lager cans lying around."
