Blackpool Council secured money from the government this year to create Southpoint, a centre that will offer young people the chance to take part in sport, music and drama and other opportunities.
Sir Steve was joined by fellow Myplace ambassador and former rock chick Mandy Smith and soul legend "Bongo" Eddie Folk of Kid Creole & the Coconuts. Sir Steve said: "This Myplace project will be a hub for a wide range of exciting, positive and challenging activities."
