- Now the school holidays have drawn to an end, so have the numerous articles about school holidays that inevitably portray parents' time with children during August as fraught with tension, arguments and stress.
It can't be that bad though, as the Western Mail reported that a "huge increase" in primary pupils missing school has been blamed on parents booking family holidays during term-time.
