Arts cuts will not affect children

Education
The chief executive of the body tasked with delivering the government's creative learning programme for schools has vowed to protect children from feeling the full force of cuts.

Following the announcement that the Arts Council is to cut £1.6m from the funding of Creativity, Culture and Education (CCE), Paul Collard said: "As a charity, the cut to our funding has been very painful. However, after much hard work, we have managed to achieve these cuts within the organisation without impacting on the schools and children involved in the creative learning programme."
