Arts beat: Salford stars

The young people received support from production company REELmcr, and 10,000 funding from Salford Primary Care Trust, Creative Industries in Salford and the Single Regeneration Budget. Their last film, Talking with Angels, which explored schizophrenia and poverty through the eyes of a young carer in 1970s Salford, was shortlisted for a Bafta. Madhouse will be premiered at Salford's Lowry Centre in September.
