I would make sure that the adverts promoted were ones that informed people of the issues most relevant, meaningful and applicable to today's environment, such as knife crime or child obesity. Advertising seems to be solely focused on moneymaking and not the promotion of awareness-based advertising on society-related issues.

Children are especially vulnerable to the world of advertising, as children's television channels tend to promote the idea of children being bought this new toy or game. Hence why parents find themselves pressured to keep their children happy by purchasing material objects.

I can't see how using a proportion of advertising space to promote social issues, which would actually have a significant and positive impact, could be wrong. People have the right not to be bombarded by advertisements promoting unnecessary products. Advertising should be used for both marketing and for productive purposes, such as raising awareness on subjects that affect society.
