The Trust project, run by the charity Tender, worked with more than2,500 students in 150 London schools over five years. An independentevaluation found the project raised pupils' awareness of supportservices and prevention. The charity is now considering creatingaccredited training to coincide with plans to make sexual bullyingeducation part of the new statutory personal, social, health andeconomic education curriculum.
Susie McDonald, director of Tender, said: "Education has the power tounlock negative attitudes around domestic violence. The time is rightfor it to be a statutory curriculum requirement."
