The money, unveiled this week by communities secretary John Denham, will be spread out among 130 councils on a variety of schemes including projects that "engage young people."
Information campaigns ensuring local residents know where to report antisocial behaviour and training for police, anti-social behaviour coordinators and neighbourhood wardens, will be among other projects to receive money.
The funding allocations range from £74,000, which is being handed to Lincolnshire County Council and £40,000, which 16 of the 130 councils will receive.
Other councils to benefit include Nottingham, Southampton and Bradford.
Denham said: "We want to spur more action, faster action and more effective results so people can be confident that problems are being tackled and stopped. We want people to know they are not alone and that government, their council and police are on their side, whether it's tackling nightmare neighbours, aggressive gangs or mindless vandals."
