
Barbara Herts, YoungMinds’ chief executive, said she is stepping down at the end of this year to pursue “new public policy challenges for children and young people”.
“I feel extremely privileged to have led YoungMinds through what has been an exciting period of change and I am delighted to be leaving the charity at such a high point,” she said.
Herts took charge of the charity three years ago and her achievements included lobbying for improvements to the Mental Health Act 2007 and partnerships with John Lewis and Leicester City Football Club.
Mike Shooter, chair of YoungMinds, said: “Barbara has secured a more influential role for YoungMinds.”
