Discussions from the forum will feed in to the government’s forthcoming green paper on rented housing reform, to be published later on this year.
Key areas include shaping housing policy to help young people meet their goals, what current aspects of housing policy get in the way of this, and what rights and responsibilities young people should have when given housing support.
A spokesman from Communities and Local Government said: “This is an excellent opportunity for those working with young people, and young people themselves, to help shape reforms that will determine the future for how we provide housing services.
“We want to encourage people to debate the issues to help shape proposals to be put forward in the housing green paper.”
