Young people to create book award shortlist

Mental health charity YoungMinds is calling on young people to shortlist entries for its annual book awards.
The award will be given to a book for readers aged 11 years and older which helps young people cope with the challenges of growing up.

For the selection process teenagers will be asked to give their views on the plot and characters of the 11 longlisted books to form a six book shortlist.

The web-based review process is open to all young people and the deadline is 1 September 2008. The winning book will be announced at an award ceremony on November 17 at the Unicorn Theatre, London.
