
Littleton, who joined the council in 2015, previously served as director of children’s services at Thurrock Council from 2013 after being promoted from head of learning and universal outcomes.
She began working for local authorities after teaching for six years at inner London schools before qualifying as an educational psychologist at University College London and working as an educational psychologist in Tower Hamlets, Camden and Islington.
Littleton also led services for gifted and talented pupils, young offenders and a wide range of services for vulnerable children and families in a number of London boroughs.
Colleagues from across the sector have paid tribute following her death from cancer on 30 June.
