The Conservative candidate for Mayor of London has pledged to take action to ensure the safety of young people if elected.
He has made five promises covering policing, community funding, sports funding, housing, and transport.
Johnson said he would direct the London Development Agency (LDA) to fund community groups that use mentoring to divert young men from crime. And he promised to ring fence a portion of the LDA budget to fund sports activities designed to reduce crime and antisocial behaviour.
He is also keen to tackle gun and knife crime. He wants to make the issue a priority for the police, and pilot the use of mobile knife scanners in problem areas such as busy tube stations.
