Team changes at CYP Now

Children & Young People Now has promoted deputy editor Derren Hayes to become the editor of the title, both online and in print.

Ravi Chandiramani, editor for the past six years, becomes editor-in-chief of CYP Now and publishing director in the education division of the Mark Allen Group.

He will continue to ensure that the website and fortnightly magazine maintains its high editorial standards as well as overseeing wider initiatives including live events and representing CYP Now in the sector at large, while Derren takes charge of all CYP Now editorial output day-to-day.

Derren joined CYP Now earlier this year, having previously edited YoungMinds magazine.

Laura McCardle joined CYP Now in September as senior reporter covering the early years, education and youth work.

Neil Puffett continues to be the correspondent for children’s social care, health and youth justice.
